The Heart Behind the Adventure
Hi, I’m Letitia Montoya — born and raised in the heart of Santa Fe. I’ve always believed that life is meant to be lived with passion, purpose, and flavor. Whether I’m cooking a traditional New Mexican dish, exploring new places, or diving into the world of local politics, my goal is the same: to learn, share, and bring people together.
Through TishsDishs and LetitiaforSantaFe, I’m combining my love for food, travel, and community to tell the real stories — the good, the bad, and the ugly — about what’s happening in our city and our state. I want people to stay informed, inspired, and connected to what truly matters.
I’ve spent years studying how our city works — from business and finance to public service and leadership — and I’m using that experience to shine a light on the truth, celebrate our culture, and help build a stronger Santa Fe.
Join me on this adventure — where food meets community, and knowledge becomes action. Together, we’ll keep Santa Fe’s spirit alive and growing.
🌿 Grandma’s 100-Year-Old Biscochito Recipe 🌿
In Santa Fe, tradition is baked into every bite. This biscochito recipe has been passed down in my family for over a century — filled with love, anise, and memories of holidays around my grandmother’s kitchen table. The biscochito isn’t just a cookie; it’s a piece of New Mexico’s heart and history. 💛
🌽 The History of Posole in New Mexico: A Story of Spirit, Survival, and Celebration 🌽
Long before New Mexico was called New Mexico, there was Posole. Known in the ancient Nahuatl language as pozolli — meaning “hominy” or “bubbled” — this dish carries within it the heart of the Southwest and the spirit of its people.

In the rugged mountains of New Mexico, the Battle of Glorieta Pass changed the course of American history. Known as the “Gettysburg of the West,” this 1862 clash decided the fate of the Southwest — and perhaps the nation itself. If the Confederates had won, the West’s gold, silver, and trade routes could have fallen under Southern control. But through courage and sacrifice, Union soldiers turned the tide, preserving both the territory and the dream of a united America.
🎙️ The Real Purple Voice — About the Movement
I’m Letitia Montoya, a moderate-to-conservative Democrat who doesn’t believe in everything my party stands for — and I’m not afraid to say that out loud. I’ve always believed politics should be about people, not party lines.
Today, I see a real divide — not just between left and right, but between generations. I’ve been listening to younger people talk about the issues they care about: the cost of living, housing, mental health, equality, and what freedom really means to them. They’re asking tough questions — and they deserve honest answers.
This podcast is where we bridge that gap. It’s about finding common ground, speaking truth, and giving voice to those who feel unheard — no matter which side of the aisle they stand on.
